Ryanair

In the case of Ryanair, as with most low-cost airlines, you must check in online yourself before travelling. Passengers who do not check in before arriving at the airport may incur a penalty, and in extreme cases, may not be allowed to board the plane.
Ryanair check-in opens 24 hours before departure and closes 2 hours before departure. You can do it on the airline's website or app. Below, we walk you through the process step by step.
How do I check-in online when booking Ryanair flights through eSky?
For Ryanair tickets, you must complete online check-in yourself – this service is not provided by eSky. As a passenger, you can manage your booking and check in directly through the airline's website or app.
When can I start online check-in with Ryanair?
- Standard online check-in starts 24 hours before departure and closes 2 hours before the scheduled take-off
- If you purchased an assigned seat on the plane when booking your trip, check-in is available 60 days before your flight.
📌Important! If you’ve purchased a Plus or Flexi Plus fare, you can check in free of charge at the airport. For other fares, you must check in online yourself.
What information do I need to check in online?
To check in online, you’ll need:
- the email address provided when booking with eSky;
- the flight booking number (PNR), found in your eSky account and in the booking confirmation email.
An airline booking number (PNR) is a unique code used by airlines to identify a reservation. It typically consists of 6 characters, such as 4YUK3R.
For more details, please refer to How to find your booking reference, PNR and other identifying details.
📌Important! PNR is not the same as an eSky booking number!
The PNR number is issued by the airline and is required to check in for your flight on the Ryanair website or app. The eSky booking number, on the other hand, is only used to contact us.
You’ll also find your PNR number in the booking confirmation email from Ryanair.

What if I don't check in myself?
Ryanair requires the passenger to check in online. If you don't:
- you will be charged an additional airport check-in fee (up to €55),
- the airline may refuse boarding.
Can I change my travel documents after checking in online with Ryanair? Can I change passenger details?
If you want to make any changes, please contact the airline directly. You can find their contact details on the Ryanair help page.
What if I’ve purchased the eSky online check-in service for a flight with another airline?
For certain airlines, we offer a service that lets us check you in on your behalf. This service doesn’t include Ryanair tickets – for this airline, check-in is always done by the passenger themselves.
📌 Important! If your booking includes a flight with an airline other than Ryanair, that requires airport check-in, we may ask you to provide your check-in details. Please note that in this case, we will only check you in for that specific flight segment. For Ryanair flights, you’ll need to check in yourself.
