Online check-in: What is it? - easyJet

For easyJet, you must check in yourself before arriving at the airport. If you don’t, you may be charged a penalty, or even denied boarding.

easyJet check-in opens 30 days before departure and closes 2 hours before departure. You can complete it on the airline's website or app. There is no option to check in at the airport, even for a fee.

How to check in for an easyJet flight? Step-by-step guide

  1. Go to the easyJet website.
  2. In the upper right corner, select the 'Check in' tab. Here, you can log in or find your reservation immediately using your surname and booking reference number.

📌 If you have trouble finding your booking reference number, you can read about it here: What information do I need for online check-in?

  3. Once you have access to your reservation details, select online check-in.
  4. Follow the instructions and provide the required information to receive your boarding passes.

📌 Important! Remember that you’ll need to repeat this process for your return flight!

What information do I need for online check-in?

To check in online, you will need:

  • Passenger's surname – the same as provided during the eSky booking process;
  • Flight booking number (PNR) – you can find this in your eSky account and in the booking confirmation email.

The Flight booking number (PNR) is a unique number used to identify a reservation by the airline. It is usually a combination of 6 characters, for example, 4YUK3R.

More details can be found in the article How to find the booking reference number, PNR, and other identification data?

📌 Important! The PNR is not the same as the eSky booking reference number! The PNR is assigned by the airline, and this is what you need to check in for your flight. The eSky booking reference number is only used by us.

Can I make changes after online check-in?

If you make any changes to your reservation after checking in online (e.g. change the flight, add baggage or add a service), you must check in again. The boarding pass sent previously will become invalid. Therefore, we recommend completing the online check-in as close as possible to the scheduled departure time.

📌 Important! easyJet check-in opens 30 days before departure and closes 2 hours before departure. Once check-in is closed, you can no longer check in, even at the airport.

I have purchased online check-in with eSky. What's next?

If you have purchased the online check-in service, all you need to do is provide us with your details. We will ask for them in a separate email (email: “Provide us with the data necessary for check-in”). In it, you will find a button with a link to a secure form, allowing you to easily and quickly submit your data. You will receive your boarding pass no later than 8 hours before departure.

What personal data do I need to provide during online check-in?

easyJet asks passengers to provide detailed information, such as:

  • Date of birth,
  • Nationality,
  • Document type (ID card or passport),
  • Document number and series,
  • Document country of issue ,
  • Dates of issue and expiry of the document.

The scope of data may change depending on the route and the entry regulations of the country of arrival.

Missing Boarding Pass at the Airport with easyJet

You will be denied boarding if you do not complete the online check-in or take your boarding passes to the airport (in printed form or saved on a mobile device).
