Seville
Seville, in southern Spain, is the capital of Andalusia and the country's fourth largest city. It has 684,234 inhabitants, while the metropolitan area is home to 1,316,591 people. The city lies on the Guadalquivir river and is famous for one of the largest cathedrals in the world and the Alcázar palace, both UNESCO listed. Its subtropical Mediterranean climate brings mild winters and hot summers. The best time to visit is spring, when temperatures are pleasant and the city comes alive during Semana Santa.
