Glasgow International Airport is located 11 km west of the city centre. The airport is close to cities such as Paisley and Renfrew in Renfrewshire, Scotland. In 2009, the port served over 7 million passengers. The airport is the second busiest port in Scotland and the eighth busiest in the UK. In July 2004, the port was the first in Scotland to celebrate checking out of over one million passengers. The operator and owner of the airport is BAA Airports Ltd, which has 6 other airports. The airport is the main hub for EasyJet, Flyglobespan and Loganair. There is a hotel reservation point in the domestic arrivals hall.

BUS
Bus stops are located in front of the airport terminal:
o Stop 1: line 500 (runs between Glasgow city centre and Buchanan bus station). The bus runs every 10 minutes. The journey to Glasgow Central train station takes 15 minutes, while to the bus station is 25 minutes.
o Stop 6: line 300 (runs between Clydebank and Paisley Gilmour Street).
o Stop 7: line 66 (runs between the airport and Paisley Gilmour Street train station) and line 600 (runs between Glasgow centre and East Kilbride via Silverburn).
o Stop 8: line 747 (runs between the airport and the centre of Glasgow via Renfrew, Braehead, Partick, Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Charing Cross). Buses depart every 20 minutes and the journey time to Buchanan bus station is about 48 minutes. Bus number 757 also goes to the centre of Glasgow from bus stop 8.
o Stop 9: line 915 to Skye.
Train
The nearest Paisley Gilmour Street train station is 1.5 km from the airport. You can easily get there by taxi or bus lines 66 and 300. From the railway station we can get to the centre of Glasgow as well as to other cities. For 6 days, as many as 8 trains within an hour travel between Paisley Gilmour Street and the centre of Glasgow. On Sundays only 5 trains per hour. Tickets for the train can be purchased on the ground floor of the terminal building at the headquarters of SPT Travel Center.
A taxi stop is in front of the terminal building. Taxis are available 24 hours a day. It is the taxi driver's responsibility to calculate the length of the travel route and give the price. You can negotiate with the taxi driver prices for further travel. The approximate cost of travel from the airport to the centre of Glasgow is 18-20 pounds, depending on traffic.

When driving on the M8, exit at junction 28. The journey time from Glasgow to the airport is 20 minutes.
