Great airport close to my final destination

Not a lot to praise as the part of the airport we were stuck in had only one shop with only a limited amount of food and drinks to sell. The communications require a serious look at and should be improved, wouldn't take much.

Nothing to do when we are waiting, not enough seats are provided per gate, restaurants are small and provide all the same food. Very boring

Nothing different, I've no idea what the pickup drop off situation is here as I arrived by tram which was excellent.
Duesseldorf Airport is located 7 km from Duesseldorf. It is a German international airport and the largest and most popular airport in North Rhine-Westphalia. It is extremely important for the region for both economic and cultural reasons. The airport serves 73 airlines. In 2012, it handled nearly 21 million passengers. In Germany, in terms of size, it ranks third as a passenger airport (after Frankfurt and Munich). There is a hotel at the airport, and two more in close proximity.

An excellent mean of transportation to the airport is a train. The port has its own train station – Duesseldorf Airport Station. Over 350 suburban trains, regional trains, long-distance trains, international trains, fast trains etc., stop at this station daily. The suspended rail – The SkyTrain connects the railway station with the terminal. Only one train does not stop at Duesseldorf Airport Station – line 7 (S-Bahn). The cable car stops at the "Duesseldorf Flughafen Terminal" subway station. The S-7 line connects the airport with Solingen HBF.

Duesseldorf DUS airport is located directly by the A44 motorway and has its own departure/exit. The road to the airport is very well marked.
