At Sky Airline, travellers can bring one or two pieces of hand luggage, depending on the purchased option, as well as checked baggage and animals. The rules that apply on airplanes are quite universal and should not come as a surprise to anyone.

Sky Airline – hand luggage

Sky Airline allow two types of hand luggage.

The first is basic hand luggage, available to all passengers, regardless of the purchased tariff. One passenger is allowed one piece of luggage packed freely, as long as it meets the following requirements:

• Dimensions 25x35x45 cm
• Max. weight 20 kg

After purchasing the Plus or Full tariff, you can also carry your luggage on board:

• Dimensions 25x35x55 cm
• Max. weight 20 kg

You must keep in mind that the baggage dimensions also include wheels and handles.

At no extra charge you can bring: crutches, wheelchair, stroller, prosthesis, walking stick, insulin containers, oxygen concentrator and dialysis machine. After meeting the formal requirements, you can also transport urns.

What can’t you bring on board Sky Airline planes?

The carrier prohibits taking on board such items as:

• Pyrotechnic materials,
• Sharp objects: crochet, scissors, knives, pocket knives, razors
• Irritants
• Pepper spray
• Electroshock weapon
• Corrosive, flammable, radioactive objects
• Flammable liquids
• Unpacked lithium batteries

Sky Airline planes can also be used to transport animals, musical instruments and alcoholic beverages.

As for animals, passengers can only be accompanied by dogs or cats on board. They must not weigh more than 12 kilograms, and there are only 2 animal seats on the entire deck for each flight.

Enthusiasts of music are allowed a bit more: they can carry various instruments on board, such as guitars and violins, as well as other that can be packed in a soft case. The maximum dimensions are 110x45x20 cm, and the weight: 20 kg.

In the case of alcohol, rules vary and you should check the regulations of the destination country. On domestic flights and to Peru, each passenger can take up to 5 litres of alcohol in bottles of up to 1 litre.

At Sky Airline, checked baggage can only be taken after purchasing the Full or Plus tariff. Each traveller is then entitled to no additional fees, for a maximum weight of 23 kilograms. Children are permitted the same luggage as adults; babies are not entitled at all. Passengers who purchased the Full tariff can take 2 pieces of luggage.

If you need more luggage than your tariff stipulates, you can buy additional luggage according to the carrier’s price list. The weight of extra luggage depends on the destination. On routes to / from Lima and in Chile you can bring luggage up to 45 kilograms, and from / to Argentina - up to 32.

Regardless of the price and tariff, the total dimensions (length, height, width) of checked baggage may not exceed 158 cm.
