Colombia, located in the northwest of South America, borders both the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. It is the continent’s fourth largest country and home to about 49.5 million people. Bogotá, Medellín, and Cali are its largest cities. The climate is predominantly tropical, while the Andean region enjoys cooler temperatures. The best time to visit is from December to March. Spanish is the official language. Colombia is celebrated for its diverse landscapes, ranging from the Andes mountains to the Amazon rainforest.
