Mannheim
Mannheim is a city in Baden-Württemberg, located at the confluence of the Neckar and Rhine rivers, opposite Ludwigshafen am Rhein. Home to about 315,500 people, it covers an area of 144.9 km². The city is renowned for its unique grid layout, established in the 18th century. It features Germany's largest Baroque palace, the former residence of the Electors of the Palatinate. Mannheim is also a scientific and cultural hub with a university, museums, and a planetarium. Visitors especially enjoy the city in spring or summer when the weather is pleasant.
